The Folktale Project is on summer vacation for the month of July, but that doesn't mean there aren't stories to tell. Each Monday I'll be bringing you the full retelling of one of the books we've read, beginning with "Bee: The Princess of the Dwarfs".

'Castle Gutenfels' is the not so historically accurate tale of how the castle on the Rhine near Kaub got its name. But - it is much more romantic than the reality.
'Burg Stahleck' is a tale of a battle between the clergy and a land hungry noble.
'The Mother's Ghost' is a story of infidelity, murder, and (of course) ghosts that led to the downfall of the Fürstenberg's.
'The Blind Archer' is absolutely my favorite story of revenge. I hope you enjoy it as well!
'The Wooing' is a story of knightly love and betrayal, where once again our hero comes out on top.
'St. Clement's Chapel' is the melancholy story of the founding of a church on the Rhine, and the Emperor's extermination of the robber barons.
